Let me start by reassuring you, you are not an anxious person. This may sound like an odd thing to say, especially as I don’t know your situation, but humour me; I may not know the specifics of your situation, but I do know about anxiety.
All of us have an anxiety response, which comes in useful when trying to asses the threat level from any given situation. When any situation needs assessing for potential danger, your subconscious uses past experiences as an example of possible ways to make you feel and behave. Appropriate levels of anxiety help to motivate us to the appropriate degree, to prepare properly and to keep safe from possible threats.
Problems arise when this anxiety response mechanism malfunctions and becomes over sensitive, or sensitive to the wrong stimulus.
You are not an anxious person – you just have a malfunctioning anxiety response!
Hypnotherapy is a very effective way to repair, adjust and reset your anxiety response to an appropriate level.
